The Public Gardens of Saintes - 24 Rue Gautier, 17100 Saintes
A central place for families, but also for joggers, walkers and friends, the public garden is a quiet space of 3 hectares on the edge of the Charente. The French gardens and the view of Saint Pierre Cathedral offer a particularly idyllic setting for the many games for children and the tea room set up in a small 18th century orangery. A skate park adjoins the gardens. Free access.

the Musical Carousel is an extraordinary, stimulating merry-go-round that appeals to touch, hearing and sight. Giant instruments invite passengers to compose their own melody, a great experience to enjoy as a group or as a family. Miniature port of Saint Savinien - Ile de la Grenouillette 17 Rue des Bateliers 17350 Le Mung
30 minutes from Saintes, this theme park is a delight for young and old. Imagined and entirely created by a shipwright, this place with the charm of yesteryear invites children to navigate the waters of the lake and the channels aboard authentic miniature replicas of period boats. Once the maritime epic is over, the rest of the estate offers access to rides and old games and a good quality refreshment bar. The setting is lovely, the team friendly, a great time in perspective for families.
Open from April to September, however please check the opening periods before any visit.
Electric boats on the Charente - Place Bassompierre 17100 Saintes
At the foot of the Arc de Germanicus, the city offers every summer the rental of small electric boats without a license, the e-boats, to navigate the Charente and discover the city from another angle.
