Kantha jacket - PHILIPPA

This bag is made from an old kantha, a traditional piece of Indian craftsmanship. The kanthas are plaids of fabric made by hand over the years and generations, by assembling between them successive layers of cotton fabric with small stitches sewn by hand. Each kantha is unique and represents hours of work.

The PHILIPPA bag is a unique piece, ideal as a shopping bag for the market, sports, holidays, or as an everyday bag.

The kanthas are old fabrics, entirely made by hand, and have irregularities in the stitching, sometimes one or more original patchings or an insolated area, they are not perfect and bear the traces of their life. They are by no means new and that is where all their charm lies.
