Kantha jacket - ARIANE
This jacket is made from an old kantha, a traditional piece of Indian craftsmanship. The kanthas are plaids of fabric made by hand over the years and generations, by assembling between them successive layers of cotton fabric with small stitches sewn by hand. Each kantha is unique and represents hours of work.
The ARIANE jacket is a unique piece, perfect for mid-season because the kantha is a thick and flexible material. One size with a loose fit, it has two flat pockets on the front and fully piped finishes on the reverse. It is sold with its coordinated belt to tie.
This model on a greenish ocher background features a richly floral pattern in green and plum tones.
- one size, fits S to L
- 72cm in length
- 45cm in length from the armpit to the wrist
- 58cm wide from armpit to armpit
The kanthas are old fabrics, entirely made by hand, and have irregularities in the stitching, sometimes one or more original patchings or an insolated area, they are not perfect and bear the traces of their life. They are by no means new and that is where all their charm lies.
